NECN serves as the fiscal sponsor to a variety of community organizations — providing 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt status, managing finances and paperwork, administering grant funds, helping with promotion and outreach — for projects led by community groups that do not have their own non-profit status.
Previously Sponsored Projects
The King Neighborhood Association worked with Depave to remove unneeded pavement from the parking lot on the south side of King School, and replaced it with a native plant rain garden to alleviate flooding and create a more welcoming and healthful space for community events, such as the King Farmers’ Market.
